Cubs get shut out by Padres 4-0, lose 5th straight

Hopefully the Cubs have hit rock bottom. Last night they got shut out by Jake Peavy and the Padres, which is embarrassing. The Cubs again managed only 5 hits and no extra-base hits. Peavy struck out 10 Cubs hitters in only 6 innings. Micah Hoffpauir had his worst game as a Cub, with a "Golden Sombrero" 0-4 4Ks. I guess he was pretending he was Milton Bradley for one night. Alfonso Soriano is in free-fall and can no longer hit apparently. I am still wondering why Aaron Miles was even in the line-up? He should be released. This team has no power! No extra-base hits, this is getting pathetic.

Carlos Zambrano was less than good in his return from the DL: 4.2IP, 3ER, 3H, 4BB, 7K. He walked too many batters for my liking and then gave up hits when men were on base. A bad outing for Z. This guy is supposed to be the best pitcher on our team, it is about time he started acting like it! I am tired of Zambrano underachieving, he makes too much money to be this average of a pitcher. With Rich Harden going to the DL (retroactive to May 18th) we need someone to step up in our rotation, but do not count on Zambrano, he never pitches well under pressure.

Tonight the Cubs are starting Randy Wells, who still has a 0.00 ERA. Hopefully Wells can continue pitching well, we need him. The Padres are starting a guy named Josh Geer, besides the fact that his name sounds made-up, I have never heard of this guy. He has a 5.61 ERA, we should crush this guy. Seriously, if the Cubs do not score 5 runs off of this clown, changes need to be made.
