Saturday Wrap-Up

First of all, go Bulls, Hawks, and Cubs. Derrick Rose is the shit, 36 points in a playoff game against the defending champs! I'll admit I was pro-Michael Beasley going into last year's draft, needless to say I was wrong. The other Bulls: Ben Gordon, John Salmons, Brad Miller etc... had a bad game. It was Rose who carried us to our win. Joakim Noah and Ty Thomas had nice games as well.

The Cubs game on Saturday was one for the ages. My guy, Aramis Ramirez, hit a walk-off HR in the bottom of the 11th (after D-Lee flied out to the warning track, shocker!). The Cubs played like shit most of the game, but got the W. Actually, our bullpen was fantastic. It was a good effort against a tough St. Louis team. This game was one of the longest I ever remember watching.

Furthermore, the Blackhawks overcame a 2-0 deficit after one period and had a monster 2nd period, scoring 3 goals. Jonathon Toews had 2 goals and Patrick Sharp Dressed Man added another (All in the second period) to give the Hawks a 3-2 win and a 2-0 series lead. Also, there was a heated debate going on concerning Nikolai Khabibulin's nickname, "The Bulin Wall". I think it's a lame nickname, up there with The Matrix, Z-Pac, and The Big Ticket.

On a personal note/change of plans: I will be attending Sunday night's game between the Cubs and the Cardinals, while sitting in the bleachers.

  1. Bulin Wall - great nickname... historical and personal reference. Great combo.
